Gaming and Computing

Will and Philippe played many different games together on the XBox and on the Wii. You can see his salt water aquarium here too.

Philippe did not get on the computer until the last week..then he couldn't resist the urge to read French again!

American Style

Danaka has cut Will's and Cindy's hair for 15 years. Will loves having Danaka cut his hair, so we thought Philippe should have the same experience.

Shoeless Joe Jackson

Shoeless Joe Jackson was a famous baseball player from a long time ago. Here we see Phillipe and Will and Will's friend Joe playing "shoe-less" on the street in front of our house.

This was Philippe's first time using a baseball glove...Batting will be next!

Travel Plans

Shopping

Basketball clothing is much easier to find in Iowa than in France.

Home away from Home

Here is where Philippe stayed while in Clive. He did a great job of being neat and tidy with his things. We will miss him.

4th of July Baseball

This baseball game was AAA League Iowa Cubs. They are one step below the Major League Chicago Cubs. There were fireworks after the game.

Philippe fits In

At our home, we keep our shoes by the doors. Sometimes the pile of shoes gets large. Philippe's shoes have fit in nicely with all the others. ;-)

4th of July Parade

This is a small parade that our town put on for the 4th of July. Many American towns do this same thing on the 4th of July.

Lunch at Smokey Row

We all had sandwiches and ice cream shakes. Philippe had a banana shake in the can that you can see in the photo.

4th of July

Games

Philippe has become a master of this game called Blockus.

EVO was a new game we learned on the 4th of July when it rained all day.

Will

Will has often cooked for he and Philippe. Will is a little bit taller than Philippe and weights about 25 kilos more. Will likes to cook eggs.

This is Will pitching at his home field.

Here are Anne's butterflies just as they are coming out of their cocoons.

Back at 14131 Willow Dr.

Here are Perci and Clare.

Anne and Cindy find Monarch butterfly eggs each year and raise them into butterflies. These 2 butterflies were found as eggs on May 31st. They came out of their cocoon on June 25th. Philippe let them go.
