At Will's Baseball

Philippe watched Will pitch a complete game. Will's team won both matches today. The weather was finally not so hot.

Taco soup for dinner.

It's the college world series. Honestly, we are only nuts over the Olympics, baseball, and World Cup soccer. All other sports we just ignore. I am sure Philippe thinks all we do is watch sports, sports, sports........

....true, but only in spurts............

Tonight's Dinner

This is part of our kitchen and also our family room. You can see the baseball on the tv!

Tonight's dinner was pasta with meatballs and bread.

Sculpture Garden in Des Moines

In Des Moines we have a sculpture garden that is a collection of famous outdoor sculptures. It was donated by a local businessman from his personal collection. Shane, Philippe, and Kate walked through the garden while waiting for Will to be done with baseball practice.

World Cup in the Morning

Both Philippe and Will like to sleep in until 10 (or later!) but when they get up they watch the World Cup matches that are shown live on ESPN.

NBA finals

Philippe was the only one rooting for the Lakers....but he was the only one happy at the end of the 7th game on Thursday, June 17.

Presents

Thank you so much for the presents. They were just the perfect things for each of us. You were very kind.

Adventureland

Philippe and Will took Joe with them to an Amusement Park called Adventureland. They rode on many roller coasters. Philippe looks like any American boy with his baseball hat on.

Games

Kate, Will, Anne, and Philippe have learned games to play: Poker, Blokus; Fifa Soccer for XBOX, etc.

Food!

Mexican food at Monterrey....Philippe had a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco.

Philippe Comes to Iowa

Philippe and Will are a good match when playing basketball in our driveway.
